Here are some important dates and procedures to get our first weeks of school off to a great start!
Friday, August 19th is the orientation for all families of students in PK3- 8th Grade who are new to St. Gregory. The orientation will take place from 1:00PM – 2:00PM in the Parish Center.
Friday, August 19th our annual “Meet and Greet” will take place from 2:15PM – 3:15PM. All new and returning families and students are invited to visit their classroom and meet their teachers for the new school year!
Monday, August 22nd is the first day of school. Although it is a half-day for students, before and after care is available if needed beginning at 7:15AM – 6:00PM.
PK3 – 5th Grade
1st through 5th Grade will begin school at 8:00AM. Drop off will be through the car line for 1st through 5th Grade students. There will be staff members posted along the car line as well as throughout the school to assist students with finding their classrooms.
PK3, PK4 and Kindergarten will begin their school day at 8:30AM. Parents of PK3, PK4 and Kindergarten may walk their child in to school.
Please have your Dismissal Cards with you, as they will need to be scanned into our system. If you do not have your card, you will need to visit the Front Office to pick up your cards or receive a handwritten dismissal slip.
Dismissal for PK3, PK4, Kindergarten and 1st – 5th Grades will be at 11:00AM. Please refer to your Dismissal Cards (included in your Business Day packet) to determine where you will pick up your child. First and Third Dismissal students will be dismissed from the Parish Center. Second Dismissal students will be dismissed from the Gym.
6th – 8th Grade
6th – 8th Grade will arrive through the car line to begin school at 12:00PM. 6th and 7th Grade Dismissal will be from the Parish Center at 3:00PM. 8th Grade will be dismissed from the School Foyer at 3:00 PM.
Tuesday, August 23rd will be a full day of school and it will be an “A” letter day. Students who have Physical Education on “A” Day should wear their PE uniform to school. Please check your child’s Specials schedule to verify which letter day your child has PE.
Dismissal on Tuesday, August 23rd will be from the same locations as Monday. If any 8th grader has younger siblings, they will all be dismissed together from the School Foyer area beginning Tuesday.

Thursday, August 11th is our annual Business Day, to be held from 2:00pm – 7:00pm in the school gym. Documents not picked up on Business Day will be made available in the front office on August 12th or thereafter.

- Homeroom Class Assignment for 2016 – 2017
- Dismissal Cards (each family will receive 4 cards, additional cards can be ordered at $5 per card)

- Activate your child’s lunch account (Recommended amount is $25.00 on account)
- Learn about our before/after school programs, Choir, Thespians, Instrument Lessons
- Make any other outstanding payments
- Purchase gently used uniforms items

The June issue of the Florida Catholic acknowledged the summa cum laude graduates from St. Thomas Aquinas High School as they begin their college careers. The following students graduated from St. Gregory the Great School in 2012 and will be attending these colleges:

In the same issue The Florida Catholic congratulated the top graduates from Archbishop McCarthy High School. The following students graduated from St. Gregory the Great School in 2012 and will be attending the following colleges:

American Heritage School also has congratulated Members of the Class of 2016 (St. Gregory Class of 2012) that were accepted to the Nation’s Finest Colleges and Universities:

In March, Broward County held a math competition for public, private, and Catholic schools. Over 200 schools participated. St. Gregory did very well! Congratulations to the following individual winners:
In Grade 6, Ari Serrao received Special Recognition and Chase Garey received the 2nd place award. In Grade 7 Pre-Algebra, Jonathan Hall received 3rd place and Cayla Copeland received 1st place. In Grade 8 Algebra, Carl Cinquino received Special Recognition.
Our 7th Grade Pre Algebra Team won First Place! Congratulations to Cayla Copeland, Jonathan Hall, Christian Rizzi, Matthew Vasconcelos, and Riley Boerger. We are proud of all of our Mathletes!
