We are proud to announce that due to the generosity of our school families, we were able to collect $800 dollars on our Dress Down Day last week. This money was presented to Catholic Charities during our Thanksgiving Mass in the form of $10 Walmart gift cards, which were given to 80 needy families to supplement their Thanksgiving meals. Our generous families of St. Gregory Parish also provided enough food to supply 55 complete Thanksgiving meals to local families through St. Vincent De Paul. Thank you!
St. Gregory School Student Council is sponsoring a dress down day on Monday, November 21st. For a one dollar donation, students may wear jeans and a t-shirt. The money will be collected in the foyer as the students arrive at school. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of gift cards for the families at New Life Family Center, which is a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami. New Life serves families and individuals in Miami-Dade and Broward County who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. This is an opportunity for our school community to recognize our blessings, and in turn help out those who are less fortunate and in need of food during this Thanksgiving season. More information about this charity can be found at http://www.ccadm.org/ourministries/newlife.
Thank you for your support!
St. Gregory is proud to be a part of the Jake and His Fight 2011 Holiday Card Fundraiser. This beautiful holiday card was created by one of our own students, Eve Moll. All proceeds from the sale of these cards will be used to benefit Jake and His Fight. Jake is a St. Gregory student who has been fighting leukemia since Christmas of 2008.
