St. Gregory Students Give Back

On December 12th, the St. Gregory 6th grade class held their annual Read-A-Thon in the Gym.  This year the students raised over $1,400. On December 14th, St. Gregory students participated in a Dress Down Day, where $990 was raised.  In total, $2,420 was donated to Catholic Charities to purchase gift cards to give to families in need.  St. Gregory students and their families also generously gave to our annual Toy Drive, which provided toys for children in need. Thank you for your generosity!

Junior Thespians

The Thespians competed in the district 3 International Thespian Society Festival in Palm Beach.  Of the 22 events we competed in we brought home 7 superior ratings, 8 excellent ratings and 7 good ratings, with a special award going to Diego D. for his Critic’s Choice Award in the monologues. Congratulations to all of our Saint Gregory Thespians!

Dress Down Day for Charity

St. Gregory’s Student Council is sponsoring a dress down day on Wednesday, December 14.  For a one dollar donation, students may wear jeans and t-shirt.  The money will be collected in the foyer as the students arrive at school. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of gift cards for the families at New Life Family Center, which is a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami.  New Life serves families and individuals in Miami-Dade and Broward County who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.  This is an opportunity for our school community to recognize our blessings, and in turn help out those who are less fortunate and in need during this Christmas season.  More information about this charity can be found at
