Our 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders recently participated in a service project called “Bags N’ Stuff”. Bags N’ Stuff was started by a former St. Gregory student, Adam Azan. The mission of this project was to provide “luggage filled with love” to foster children of all ages. Foster children often arrive to their foster home with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. The emergency bags let the children know that they are important enough to have new necessities carried in a duffel bag, not a trash bag. On October 16th, 165 canvas duffel bags filled with t-shirts, socks, blankets, toiletries, but most important, a personal note and prayer card from the students. Father Hoyer blessed the bags before they were loaded up for Dr. Azan to take and deliver to foster children of various ages. Thank you to all of the families that donated bags and items for this special project, and a special thank you to all the teachers, parents and students who made this service project a success!
